Bushwick's tight-knit arts community draws on the collective decades of experience some locals have keeping unconventionally constructed spaces functional and safe.
The all-ages, 11-hour "noise/punk/queercore" festival is scheduled for Saturday, October 8 and will feature 10 bands, workshops and skill shares at the Bushwick Avenue arts collective.
"Beyond Bricks and Mortar: Stories of Community and Resilience from Public Housing" opens at Silent Barn's Disclaimer Gallery on Friday, September 9th.
