Groupmuse Will Bring a “Classical Music House Party” to Silent Barn Next Thursday

Locals can take a break from Bushwick’s normal nightlife offerings next Thursday evening when the classical music collective Groupmuse comes to Bushwick Avenue’s Silent Barn, presenting works composed centuries ago in a venue best known for showcasing recently emerged, boundary-pushing talent.

Violinist Jennifer Liu and Violist Jenni Seo have collaborated to prepare a string duet program that will feature Handel’s Halvorsen Passacaglia and Mozart’s Duo for Violin and Viola in G Major, among other pieces.

The doors will open at 8 p.m., and the price of admission is $15; $3 of each ticket sale supports Groupmuse itself, and the rest of the ticket sales go directly to the performers.

RSVP on Facebook and by RSVPing on Groupmuse’s site, and leave those ear plugs at home for this one.
