The ninth annual Bushwick Film Festival will kick off with a screening of “I Am Gangster,” a gritty drama about Latino gangs in modern day Los Angeles.

The new film series will focus on stories of people breaking the mold.

Bushwick’s own artist workspace, movie studio, and gallery hosts a free weekly summer outdoor film fest at sunset. This week’s programming is going to get weird.
