Apocalyptic Porn Comedy to Screen at Brooklyn Fire Proof This Friday

This Friday evening, join John Lee of cult behemoth PFFR in the alley behind Brooklyn Fire Proof to watch weird comedy with some serious Bushwick roots.

You may know PFFR as the collective behind the series “Wonder Showzen” and “The Heart, She Holler,” all three seasons of which were shot at Brooklyn Fire Proof Studios.

Kenneth Filmer, programmer of the festival running July through August and Stage Manager at Brooklyn Fire Proof Studios, says he is “excited to have John here doing this live in person, and putting together this amazing program that you can only see once, this Friday!”

The program is only the 9th PFFR screening event ever and is described as “a hodgepodge of nonsense and sense – a couple of shorts and then a slightly longer thing.”

The slightly longer thing, is an excerpt from a feature film called “Final Flesh,” a pornographic something written by Vernon Chatman.

If PFFR’s other offerings are any indication, this experience is for fans of the absurd, unsettling, and downright scary, a perfect complement to what’s going on in the world around us.

In the following week, Cartuna, the production company behind the star-studded comedy “The Adventures of Drunky,” will present a program titled “Dirty Morning Cartoons.” Filmer adds: “This program, a night of recent off-the-wall adult animation, is having brand new, exclusive animated interstitials created by several famous Bushwick street artists.”

Terra Firma will be open and on hand to feed movie-goers and most food can be brought directly into the screening area. The 90 minute program will start at around 9:30, but seating opens at 8 and is first come, first served.
