The modern day baseball cap is modeled after a style first worn by the 1860s baseball team the Brooklyn Excelsiors. Ironically, though the style is everywhere, very few are made in Brooklyn anymore.
In Bushwick, some people are fashion forward while others are best described as "fashion neutral." The former are style-conscious, and the latter don't need to think to be flawlessly styled.
