Welcome to Friday Foodstagram, where we round up some of the most appetizing looking insta’s from everyone’s favorite neighborhood establishments. Don’t have time to browse everyone’s instagram to figure out what you’re gonna stuff in your mouth this weekend? That’s the kind of time-saving shenanigans this round up can do for ya. Hashtag your photos #BushwickEatz to appear here next week!

#1 Sausage Party in the Garden @ Fritzl’s Lunch Box (173 Irving Ave, @fritzlslunchbox)

Make all your tubed meat dreams come true tonight from 6 PM to 11 PM at Fritzl’s Lunch Box. For $18, you can indulge in either a smoked cheddar stuffed brat with sauerkraut and beer mustard or a roast garlic chicken sausage with marinated broccoli rabe, both on hoagie rolls, both accompanied by a half sour pickle and your choice of side and, naturally, a beer. They’ll be pouring from a keg of Wiscovation Cream Ale from Carton Brewing, and you know you can trust these guys to exercise serious skills when it comes to sausage (and craft beer) dispersal.

#2 Mussel Monday @ The Rookery (425 Troutman St, @therookerybar)

One of the coolest things about late summer is that everyone agrees that the weekends can just start extending straight through Monday. Make the most of these last long summer evenings with a bowl of curry coconut mussels for $5 at the Rookery. And since you’re already there anyway, why not pop a $14 bottle of Pinot Grigio or Rose? Available 5 PM to Midnight on Mondays.

#3 Four Barrel Coffee @ Strangeways (87 St Nicholas Ave, @strangewaysbk)

Don’t let all that sausage get you too sleepy to make the most of this Friday night. Stop by Strangeaways afterwards for a caffeine injection. And starting next week, they’ll be serving Four Barrel Coffee from San Francisco, a company that describes a good cup of coffee as “one that somehow tastes well-loved and worth dressing up for.” So put your fancy pants on and stop by Strangeways for your fix.

#4 Fish Dinner @ Dear Bushwick (41 Wilson Ave, Photo By @bnicolekenny)

Nothing makes you feel like a medieval Knight quite like being served a whole fish. A fish so big that its outer extremities extend beyond the boundaries of the plate. A fish whose tail flops off the side, and whose beady little eyes look up at you and say, “You have bested me, and I deserve to be consumed by you.” Well, anyway, the Whole Roasted Stuffed Bass at Dear Bushwick is doused in lemon, fennel, and dill yoghurt sauce, will set you back $23, and has been vouched for by BD reader @bnicolekenny!

#5 Dollar Oysters & Clams @ Tutu’s (25 Bogart St, @tutusbrooklyn)

Slip into Tutu’s and fork over one sticky dollar for the treasure of sliding something soft and slimy into your gullet. What could be more luxurious than the velvety purr of oceania draining into your mouth on a quiet evening? Well, you could also hit up a burger and a beer for $10 if you make it during Happy Hour (4 to 8 PM, weekdays).
