The new Honky Tonk Happy Hour runs Monday through Friday from 4 to 7 p.m., at the bar only. As recently as December 2023, happy hour at Mable’s was drink deals only: $1 off beer and wine, a $6 beer and shot and $7 well drinks. The new menu adds food, including an $8 pulled pork sandwich and half-price wings, along with $6 Shiner Bock and items sold only during happy hour.

Mable’s is known for its all-you-can-eat nights. All-you-can-eat wings are $25 every Thursday from noon to 9 p.m., including today. All-you-can-eat ribs are $35 every Wednesday from noon to 9 p.m. Bottomless brunch on Saturdays and Sundays, an entree and two hours of drinks, is $40.

The free menu is mini burnt end tacos, mini Frito pies and smoked meat samplers, with mini margaritas, spiked cherry limeades, beer and wine to drink. On the regular menu, a Frito pie is $13 and a margarita $16. Taste.air, a Nashville-based DJ, will spin Willie, Waylon and Merle on vinyl.

There is no ticket or cover, and the free spread is for this one night. The entrance is on North 11th Street between Berry and Wythe.

On the regular menu, a pulled pork sandwich with a side, slaw and pickles is $20 at dinner and $15 at weekday lunch with a bag of Fritos, slaw and pickles. Sides are $10, and the deluxe platter of three meats and three sides is $68.

Mable’s serves ribs, pulled pork and chicken, brisket and Frito pie, and has smoked its meat daily since 2011. Meghan Love and Jeff Lutonsky, a husband-and-wife team, opened it in a former beverage factory and named it for his late grandmother. Love, a Louisville native and the owner, likes to say Mable’s “was country before it was cool.” Its annual Dolly Parton look-alike contest, held in February, mixes drag show, beauty pageant and hoedown.

Mable’s posts its specials and events on Instagram.
