Who would’ve guessed a bunch of New Yorkers would have strong opinions about pizza?

We knew going into this Best of Bushwick installment that we were opening the floodgates, yet open them we did. Our readers did not disappoint with all the saucy nominations they brought to the table. They put forth a solid range of contenders, including stalwart neighborhood joints and what I like to call “fancy pizza” restaurants. Interestingly, where other rounds of nominations have resulted in much tighter fields, the pizza pool is large and deep.

There were a few surprises. The nominations for Roberta’s seemed almost perfunctory (are we over Roberta’s because of Pizzagate?), and one of the neighborhood’s newer spots, Artichoke, failed to get any nomination at all.

At Bushwick Daily, we value our integrity and independence — both professionally and, to a slightly lesser extent, personally. These are the reasons why we have never and will never accept a bribe of any sort for nominations or votes. All of our nominations and votes are 100 percent reader-generated.

Of course, we do encourage nominated businesses to brag about their nominations and urge their customers to come vote.

As always, our Best of Bushwick polls are supervised by very intelligent machines and decently intelligent people to ensure that no suspicious or outright fraudulent goings-on…go on.

So, BDers — vote below for your favorite pizza place for Best of Bushwick 2018!

Voting will end at 11:59 pm on Thursday, April 12.
