It was bitter sweet to hear that Deborah Brown will be closing the little space on Wilson Avenue that has been a home to Storefront Bushwick for over three years

Well, kids, it is officially May which, for me, stands for margaritas, wearing white and, of course, Bushwick Open Studios! While this event is still a few weeks away, the galleries are already getting ready for it and the neighborhood is literally buzzing with activity

Put down the mop and windex, don’t even think about tackling your closet!  While spring days may mean a change over from winter to summer wardrobe transformations for some, to me all it means is longer daylight hours to explore more of Bushwick’s art!  The season for MFA shows, open studios (only six weekends away from Bushwick Open Studios!), and thematic group shows is upon us, meaning more to see, not just in Bushwick but all over the city

Is it just me or has Bushwick gotten bigger? This week Bushwick and its surrounding neighbors are hosting a great number of must-see events that will prove to expand our already well-defined artistic palate

While I am always waiting with bated breath for the weekend to awaken me from my weekly doldrums, I am especially antsy due to the upcoming deluge of amazing art openings happening in Bushwick this week and next!
