Maybe it’s the promise of a female president or a little princess across the pond, but this weekend’s shows are definitely for the ladies

It’s the time to bow to the Great Pumpkin, the magical goddess of the fall! Get ready for pumpkin carving, pumpkin ale, and pretty much everything else tasting, smelling or looking like pumpkins

We hope you are all as jazzed about CMJ as we are! The festival is the College Music Journal’s “Music Marathon”- a completely amazing (and exhausting) week (October 21-25, 2014) of live music, giving the music community a chance to catch the best new artists from around the world before they blow up

Even if you’re never really trying to look your “best,” you’re most likely trying to look something if you live in Brooklyn in this day and age

The sun is out and you should be too this Saturday, June 21st, for an amazing FREE one-day festival called Make Music New York

Remember when the Girls took to Bushwick to rage out in a warehouse and (accidentally) smoke crack? Well, that’s not the route we recommend you go this weeken–maybe instead grab a 5-hour energy to get your fix as you hop around art shows by day and hit the rock and roll by night! Not all these shows are tied in with Bushwick Open Studios, but they will all be mega-fun and nothing like the gif above (hopefully?)

It may seem like quite a while ago at this point but the world’s best indie festival, South By Southwest, was just a few weeks past, March 12-16, and everyone in the music industry will continue to feel its repercussions all year, especially those from Brooklyn! From the bands that made it big to those that seemed to crash and burn, everyone who attended took away some great musical memories, including Bushwick Daily! We had three writers (Danielle Thompson, Ileana Little, and yours truly) hanging out in Austin, snapping instagrams, taking notes, and absorbing everything we heard

All last week we got pumped up for the Brooklyn Electronic Festival, and now that it’s over, there’s little more to do than brush the confetti off our shoulders and remember the good times
