Five soccer fields, one in each of New York City’s boroughs, are open around the clock for pickup games through July 18, according to a press email sent Tuesday by Hamaad Najam, Deputy Press Secretary for the NYC Mayor’s Office.

The fields went live on June 11 as part of the city’s 2026 World Cup programming. Each field is split and set up for 7v7 play. The Mayor’s Office says you can show up with a full crew or arrive as a free agent and get into a game. A full schedule, including field locations, is available at nycopenplay.com.

The Mayor’s Office did not specify the exact location of each borough’s field in the press email. Participation is limited to adults 18 and older, and everyone must complete a sign-up waiver, according to nycopenplay.com.
