Instagram Takeover – credit Grey Beltran – puddle reflection plane phone wires

In the past few weeks, we’ve had the distinct pleasure of hosting some pretty amazing local photographers on our Instagram. Four talented people took us on personal tours of our very own backyard, AKA Bushwick, as we rounded the corner on a frigid winter and finally met the first warm days of the new season.

Fashion photographer Jon Taylor hosted a street fashion Insta-Takeover. Remember, per Vogue, Bushwick is one of the “hippest” cities in the world. Gray Beltran, a designer, photographer and journalist, captured Bushwick in reflections on water, or #puddlegrams. These photos are some of the coolest I’ve seen in a long time.

Then, Victoria Perry showed off some cool headwear in Bushwick, which was the perfect photo assignment for a real-life milliner. And finally, newbie Giddy Heine explored Bushwick for the very first time and photographed artists in their element for his Insta-Takeover. The Melbourne-based music lover had only moved here a few days before, so it was a refreshing way to see Bushwick through fresh eyes (again).

We’ve rounded up your (and our!) favorite photos from these four Insta-Takeovers below. They strike a broad range in tone and color – from moody grey to icy white to sunshine yellow, it appeared to be a dramatic ride. If you like what you see, make sure to check us out on Instagram to see all the photos from each photographer! Because, folks, there are a ton more.
