The Bushwick Flea first opened its gates at the vacant lot on the corner of Willoughby and Wyckoff avenues, a short walk from the Jefferson stop on the L at the beginning of April 2015. Now, the market is relocating to Meserole Street, somewhere between the Morgan and Montrose stops.

We spoke with Flea founder Rob Abner with the hope that he would reveal the location, but he only said that he and the other organizers would reveal the exact spot once more work was done to improve the site.

Abner also explained that the move from Bushwick to East Williamsburg is mostly a cost saving measure that allows the market to rent the location only on days it is being used.

The short walk should not deter intrepid Bushwick residents from trekking into East Williamsburg for the work of local craftspeople, artists, and vintage vendors.

The Bushwick Flea’s 2017 opening weekend is scheduled for Saturday, March 4 and Sunday, March 5. Interested vendors can email [email protected] to apply for a spot.
