We’re not going to lie, summer in Bushwick was freakin’ awesome – outdoor concert venues, stellar watering holes, Michelin-worthy restaurants – but it’s time to welcome in a new season filled with itchy sweaters, gold-hued leaves, and some amazing new restaurants, bars, coffee shops, and juice places in Bushwick.

From cultish ramen to Brazilian juice and pao de queijo, these ten sexy new places are sure to invigorate your start to autumn. We guarantee.

Lorenzo’s

Consider us hooked. With an open kitchen, communal tables, and a mile-long bar, Lorenzo’s is the kind of effortless, airy restaurant/bar you’ve been wanting in Bushwick. The upscale Argentine/Peruvian food (think lots of grilled meat) and inspired cocktails are not too shabby either. Now Open.

Pitanga Juice

From our review: Bushwick’s new social temple to healthy living. Smack in the middle of Jefftown’s nightlife expansion area, on Starr St between Irving and Wyckoff Aves, Pitanga represents the perfect place to hang out while NOT beating your liver to a pulp. Now Open.

Bye bye Norbert’s, hello Birdy. (photo: Bushwick Daily archives)

Opening in the former Norbert’s Pizza next to Little Skips, Birdy’s comes to Bushwick from the owners of Bushwick faves Old Stanley’s and King Noodle. It’s going to be full on dive bar-chic, complete with cheap mixed drinks and beer, table shuffleboard, and pinball machines. Opening Oct.

Pipsqueak

252 Varet St.

Forget NY-style thin crust pizza. The brains behind Pipsqeak are opening a spot dedicated to Chicago-deep-dish pizza in the same building where Tutu’s is located on Varet Street. Roberta’s, you’ve been officially warned. Opening TBA.

Le Garage

159B Central Ave., entrance at Suydam St.

Rachel Allswang and her Paris chef-restaurateur mother Catherine Allswang are cleaning out an old Bushwick garage and converting it into a neighborhood restaurant thats generating a ton of buzz (for good reason). The setting – Rachel is an interior designer – and the homey-yet-fancy French food promise to be ah-mazing. Opening early Oct.

Starbucks

329 Wycoff Ave.

Sorry… we just can’t NOT include possibly the most talked about opening this fall. And while we here at Bushwick Daily are always on the side of local and independent coffee shops, we can’t deny the sheer force of it. On the bright side…pumpkin spice lattes?? Opening TBA.
