Ten bars, restaurants and venues across Bushwick and Ridgewood are seeking to serve alcohol, and their applications are now in front of Brooklyn Community Board 4, according to the board’s July 2026 newsletter.
The list includes brand-new operators and places already pouring. Four businesses are up for new liquor permits, per the board: BowlPie Pizza & Pasta Corp at 166 Wyckoff Avenue, Xaviers Venue LLC at 313 Grove Street, American Grill Inc. at 1050 Flushing Avenue, and Ridgewood Bar and Deli LLC at 1071 Broadway. Farm to People, LLC, at 1100 Flushing Avenue, is seeking a change to its existing license class.
Five more are renewals for spots already in the neighborhood, according to CB4: Dive Bar BK & Abyss Event Space at 408 Troutman Street, Money Cat Vietnamese American at 554 Wilson Avenue, Bushwick Bay Inc. / TORA at 242 Himrod Street, Mai Tais Tiki Bar & Kitchen at 1087 Broadway, and Loliya Member LLC at 269 Stanhope Street.
In New York, the State Liquor Authority issues licenses, but community boards get a say first. CB4 reviews applications and can send the SLA a recommendation to approve or deny before the state signs off, a step the board describes as a charter-mandated review.
CB4 is on its usual summer recess through July and August, the newsletter says, though the board notes some committees may still meet. Its next public hearing and regular meeting is set for Wednesday, September 16 at 6 p.m. Details on upcoming meetings are posted on the board’s website calendar.
