Kiki Arts Collaborative, a New York arts group led by 2025 David Prize winner Colby Xzavier King, held its first ball, a ballroom event billed as the Miss USA Kiki Ball, according to The David Prize newsletter.
The newsletter, published February 10, 2026, said the ball took place within the prior month and was hosted by Yoncé Scott and Kimberly Joneś. The David Prize awards unrestricted grants to New Yorkers, and the newsletter highlighted the event as one of its recent winners’ projects.
The newsletter described the Miss USA Kiki Ball as “inspired by ballroom’s origins in beauty pageants and Black beauty pageants,” calling it “a celebration of those who paved the way and those who continue to redefine what beauty looks like on their own terms.” The account did not specify the ball’s venue, attendance or the categories featured.
