Kristen Gonzalez, the Nuyorican comedian and director who goes by Krisaygon, is bringing a show she calls a genre mashup to the Brooklyn Comedy Collective on Sunday, July 26. It is titled “Eat Improv Love,” and Gonzalez describes it as part comedy show, part variety night, built around food, connection, and chaos.
The night stacks sketch, improv, and original music into one bill, according to a press email Gonzalez sent Bushwick Daily. Tickets are $12 through Eventbrite.
Gonzalez says she was born and raised in Bushwick, and she pitched the show directly to the newsroom as a local producer looking to fill the room. She works as both a comedian and a director, and posts under the handle @Krisaygon on Instagram. More on her work is at her website.
The Brooklyn Comedy Collective is the venue hosting the one-night run. Gonzalez did not list a start time or the venue’s street address in her pitch, and the ticket page has the details.
