Hye House staged Kef Time Brooklyn, a night of live Armenian music and dance, at 53 Scott in Bushwick on February 7, beginning at 8 p.m., according to a members’ announcement from the venue collective SAA.
The event was billed by SAA as a night of live Armenian sound and dance meant to bring the culture and energy of the community to life in New York City. The bulletin, sent to SAA members on February 5, did not name the performers or detail the program beyond that description.
SAA said members were invited to enjoy complimentary guest-list access during the first hour of every show, an offer the organization extended across its weekend lineup. Tickets to Kef Time Brooklyn were available through a link in the SAA membership email.
The Armenian showcase was one of several events SAA promoted across its Bushwick venues that weekend. SAA said it also hosted an official afterparty for the electronic artist Alleycvt at 99 Scott at 11 p.m. on February 7, following what the organization described as her sold-out show at Brooklyn Steel.
