Renderings for the Next Residential Tower in Bushwick Have Been Revealed

It’s looking like Bushwick blocks with multiple high-rises are going to be a reality for the neighborhood’s residents in the not too distant future. The newest renderings for the 9-story tower going up practically next door to the 11-story tower on Willoughby Avenue have just been released.

YIMBY reports that the 30,000 square foot building at 1127 Willoughby Ave. will include medical offices on the first floor and 32 units stretching eight stories up.

Boro Architects initially released architectural drawings for the building, but new renderings reveal ridiculous similarities to the recently announced Himrod Street high-rise. Look at them side-by-side! Can you believe these are not the same building?

In fact, the only differences appear to be the height of the building, placement of the parking entrance, and the size of the corrugated metal design element near the front door. Of course, Boro Architects does own up to this by calling the Himrod Street building “the larger sister project of the Willoughby Avenue apartments” on their site.

An official completion date has not been set, but work on the wide lot has already started, so we estimate another one or two years before these units hit the market.
