AIONIA: 20 Years Permanent Vacation
Friday, March 27 | 10 p.m.–4 a.m. | House of Yes, 2 Wyckoff Ave., Bushwick
AIONIA takes over House of Yes for the first-ever New York showcase of Permanent Vacation, the Munich label celebrating 20 years of shaping modern disco and its wider orbit of Balearic, cosmic, proto-house, and left-of-center club music.
Founded in 2006 by Tom Bioly and Benjamin Fröhlich, the label’s nearly 400 releases include work from Todd Terje, Prins Thomas, John Talabot, Red Axes, and Mano Le Tough—a catalog that bridges classic disco influence with contemporary dancefloor energy.
Tonight’s lineup brings that spirit into the present:
- Rebolledo – Pachanga Boys co-founder. Mayan Warrior energy, trippy disco, mischief done right.
- Alinka – Kyiv-born, Berlin-based. Floor-first house with a bite.
- Lauer – Permanent Vacation core. Melodic pressure and lift that always lands.
- Sam Goku – Deep, swinging club music. Hypnotic and sharp.
- Tim Sweeney – Beats in Space founder. Pure taste, zero filler.
Beyond the music: cosmic advice with Amygdala, tarot with Zima Sparkles, beauty bar with Tash Kouri, and go-go performances throughout the night.

Brooklyn Electronic Music Festival (BEMF) – 18th Anniversary
1 p.m.–noon (next day) | The Complex, East Williamsburg
The city’s longest-running independent electronic music festival returns after a seven-year hiatus with a full complex takeover. Six stages, 18+ hours, and lineups curated by Support Women DJs, Heads Know, Hot Honey Sundays, Body Bag, and more.
The daytime programming runs from 1 p.m. with Mizz Softee and Renegade in the courtyard. After 10 p.m., the warehouse, rooftop, and skatepark open up for overnight sets running through sunrise and beyond.
This is the real deal—not a branded activation but a grassroots celebration of underground electronic music, returning to its roots with community-driven curation and a single $40 pass for all-access.

Scream Scene Presents: Carrie
6–8 p.m. | Pine Box Rock Shop, 12 Grattan St., Bushwick
Scream Scene presents a free screening of Brian De Palma’s Carrie, the 1976 horror classic based on Stephen King’s novel. Watch what happens when you throw high school bullies and an abusive mother at a telekinetic teenage girl just discovering her power. Themed cocktails available. Come for the prom, stay for the pig blood.

Trans Day of Visibility Clothing Swap
6–8 p.m. | Big Reuse Bushwick, 378 Troutman St.
Ahead of Trans Day of Visibility (March 31), Big Reuse hosts a trans clothing swap at its Bushwick location. Bring clothes to trade and take some gems home. Remaining clothes will be donated to the Reuse Center—nothing goes to waste.

Footlight Presents: Makers Market & Game Night
2–9 p.m. | Footlight Underground at The Windjammer, 552 Grandview Ave., Ridgewood
Every last Sunday, Footlight hosts a makers market featuring local vendors followed by game night. This month’s lineup includes Jolee’s Vintage, Krissanthemum Knits, Gross Glass Works, Arepaz Colombianas, and tattoo artist Gabi. The featured game: Dance Dance Revolution Extreme 2.
Grab a drink, meet your neighbors, support local small business. Makers market runs 2–6 p.m., game night 6–9 p.m. 21+ after 6 p.m.

Brooklyn Web Workers

The monthly gathering for Brooklyn’s web community returns with talks from Brandon Liu on maps as a new web primitive, Rose Kodsi-Hall on “Markdownlang: Comedy Driven Development,” and Vicki Niu on why tech workers must join the fight for universal healthcare. NARC Office Hours: Tempo Thursdays

The hottest new run club in the city is training for the Brooklyn Half. NARC’s Thursday tempo runs meet at dawn in Herbert Von King Park—show up, move with intention, and build real relationships on and off the track. Co-founded by Omari Ross and Noah Hutchins, NARC takes a holistic approach to fitness and community.

The Healing Project Magazine Presents: Call and Response
