A Brooklyn chef is among the contestants on the new season of Bravo’s “Top Chef,” according to a representative for the competition series. Sherry Cardoso, who lives and works in Brooklyn, is competing on Season 23 of the show, the representative said in a pitch to Bushwick Daily.
The season is set in the Carolinas, according to the representative. In an email dated February 11, the show’s outreach said the season would premiere the following month, placing the debut in March 2026.
Cardoso is one of the season’s “cheftestants,” the representative said, using the franchise’s term for its competitors. The representative said Cardoso was eager to discuss her experience on the show, her culinary influences and inspirations, and her work and life in Brooklyn, and offered to arrange an interview ahead of the premiere.
The pitch did not detail Cardoso’s restaurant affiliations, neighborhood or placement in the competition, and Bushwick Daily has not independently confirmed the casting or the premiere date with Bravo. “Top Chef,” a long-running cooking competition that pits professional chefs against one another in elimination challenges, films each season in a different region of the country.
