Help Find the Dognapper who Stole a Puppy From a Bushwick Laundromat

This was supposed to be a good week for dogs in Bushwick. Not only is Better Than Jam hosting an animal shelter benefit, Norwind’s, too, is getting in on the action with a Summer Dog Party Extravaganza. In advance of all this planned fun, a dastardly man walked into a laundromat on Knickerbocker Avenue and stole a puppy from the laundromat’s office on a Monday afternoon at 3:30 p.m.

Pix 11 reported that the dog, a Cockalier named Pippen, is only four months old. The owner of the dog (and the laundromat) Brauglio Espinal says, “I have no words. It’s not human.”

Why would anyone do this? Well, there are a few reasons. None of them are very nice. Take a look at the video below, which shows the culprit, described as a six foot tall man weighing 170 pounds, lure the puppy out of the laundromat’s office.

Let’s hope Pippen, an adorable cross between a Cocker Spaniel and a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, is brought home in time to grab himself an ice cream cone by the pool at Norwind’s this weekend.
