Most Bushwick residents are familiar with the two Mobile Vintage trucks located at 43 Bogart St. and 21 Wyckoff Ave The Bogart St location opened Spring of 2011 by owner Tiffany Nicole, and the Wyckoff Ave one last year.

Last spring, Nicole opened the first stationary location on Cypress Ave, which, like her trucks, provided a unique experience: new arrivals of merchandise almost daily, free whiskey, and many items going for only $10. The flagship location has recently moved to 28 Scott Ave., between Jefferson St. and Troutman St., right next to Montana’s Trail House.

Its covert entrance — the basement doors directly next to the residential 28 Scott — gives it a literal underground feeling, but it stays true to its roots with a cozy and clean environment. They moved from Cypress to Scott Ave in order to “provide the same speakeasy experience in a larger location” which allowed them to feature “a greater selection of unique clothing,” Tiffany describes.

The space is lined with racks of clothing coordinated by color, with a large record selection in the far corner and a couch surrounded with books, carpets, and other homey items in the center. Tiffany travels frequently and sources her fantastic pieces from all over the country.

Like the trucks, 28 Scott is open daily from 6pm to 10pm on Mondays to Fridays and 2pm to 10pm on Saturdays and Sundays, or by private appointment. Go check it out for an unparalleled vintage shopping experience.
