Welcome, welcome, welcome to the first of our weekly event roundups! We truly hope that your lives have gotten exponentially more exciting since we installed a community events calendar on Bushwick Daily!

 Monday: Trivia 

8-10 p.m. at The Sampler, 234 Starr St., Bushwick, FREE 

“The Sampler’s trivia night hits you with three rounds of pop culture, history, and miscellaneous questions for you to flex that giant brain muscle of yours. The winning team gets free beer, bragging rights, and glory. There’s beer, whiskey, prosecco, kombucha, wine, and a badass playlist.”

 Tuesday: Bingo fabulous

This is not your grandma’s bingo night! “Madame Vivien V and DJ Matty Glitterati are bringing you Bingo House of Yes style. Confetti, drag shows, costumes, cocktails and more! Come join in the fun, bring your stamper and your smile as you play for your chance to win sexy prizes including $100 cash money!! This week’s theme is Animal Kingdom.”

 Wednesday: The Poetry Brothel: Bestiary

8-11 p.m. at House of Yes, 2 Wyckoff Ave., Bushwick, TICKETS

This unique and immersive poetry event takes place in a bordello. The Madame presents a rotating cast of both male and female poets, each operating within a carefully crafted character, who impart their work in public readings, spontaneous eruptions of poetry, and most distinctly, as purveyors of private poetry readings on beds, chaise lounges and in private rooms.

 Thursday: Dig deep Comedy Show

6:30-11 p.m. at The Well, 272 Meserole St., East Williamsburg, FREE

The Well promises a cast of the hottest up-and-coming comedians in the city!

 Friday: Check the rhyme

10 p.m. – 2 a.m. at Precious Metal, 143 Troutman St., Bushwick, FREE

This Friday, we hope to see you dancing to 90s hip hop as spun from a collection of vinyls by DJ Warp9 at Precious Metal!

 Saturday: Body Painting Dance Party

10 p.m. – 4 a.m. at Lot 45, 411 Troutman St., Bushwick, TICKETS

On Saturday head to a party that features body painters, music, food, and dance to the beats of Mumbai, to the pounding drums of Brazil, and to the rhythms of Africa. The organizers warn that there might be some nudity due to the nature of the event, however guests will not be required to be naked, though no one will forbid you either. *wink wink*

 Sunday: Brooklyn Makers Market

12 – 7 p.m. at Shwick, 175 Broadway, Williamsburg, FREE

If you miss the days before Shwick Market closed their permanent location in Bushwick, we’ve got good news for you. Shwick owners, a husband-wife duo, Christopher and Jinyen Carew, have been organizing markets all over Brooklyn. Their latest of huge markets takes place this weekend and features locally-made art, goods, food, bar and DJs. Sounds like a perfect event to wind down on a Sunday.
