Brooklyn Desks Is Closing and Tonight They’re Having a Farewell Party

Say goodbye to Brooklyn Desks.

The popular coworking station at 49 Wyckoff Ave. in Bushwick is closing after four years in business, and tonight they’re having a farewell party that you’re invited to attend.

“Bring a friend, heck bring 10 friends, because this party will have everything: lights, psychos, Furbies, screaming babies in Mozart wigs, sunburned drifters with soap sud beards,” Brooklyn Desks said in a Facebook event post. “No point in sitting around feeling sad, so let’s do this, one more time, Brooklyn Desks style.”

Joel Mitten, owner of the Brooklyn Desks building, told us that it was recently sold. Areilla Burnham, founder and “head honcho” at Desks, confirmed the news when we reached out.

“The new owners have some grand plans…not sure what they are though!” Burnham said. “I really feel like we’ve grow up with Bushwick over the last 4ish years and it’s hard to say goodbye.”

The coworking station opened opened on the ground floor of Cheap Storage in 2014 during a creative office boom in Bushwick.
