Come Out for a Hurricane Irma Relief Rooftop Party Tomorrow!

Dancing and drinking for a cause is always better than just dancing and drinking!

Even as the east coast deals with the effects of Tropical Storm Jose, and Hurricane Maria lashes Puerto Rico and the Bahamas, Florida, Georgia, and island nations like Antigua and Barbuda are still cleaning up after the tropical assault by Hurricane Irma earlier this month.

If you're feeling like you want to help but don't know how, consider the party on the rooftop of 100 Bogart St. at 7 p.m. tomorrow, Sept. 22.

It's free to attend but 100 percent of drink purchases will go to benefit the victims of Irma and the rebuilding effort in Antigua and Barbuda.

Music will be provided by The Gent and DJ Tekk. The drinks are sponsored by KCBC and Irving Bottle. And you'll get to nibble on appetizers by the infamous Tony's Pizzeria & Restaurant.

Over 90 percent of Barbuda was destroyed in a direct hit by the hurricane, so a lot more than just money will be needed to rebuild the tiny nation and support its citizens during the process.

There will also be donation bins for non-perishable items. Currently, their priority list includes canned food, flashlights, toilet paper, batteries, diapers, cots, sanitizers, lotions, baby items, water, socks, and soap. All items and money will go directly to the consulate of Antigua and Barbuda.

RSVP here.
