This past Sunday, entertainment venue House of Yes transformed into a lush, pelagic oasis in honor of the 6th Annual Mermaid Lagoon Benefit.

Attendees and performers alike came dressed in their most regal aquatic attire to pay homage to the sea (and witness several arresting aerial, dance and circus performances).

All proceeds from the night went to support two deserving charities — the New York-

based Billion Oyster Project and the Orca Network, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping save a 20-foot-long orca named Lolita.

Guests were treated to a plentiful banquet of oysters (which our hosts taught us are sustainable seafood products: they can be cultivated as a renewable resource), a full bar, and a fountain of opportunities to fully immerse themselves in maritime decadence.

One lucky guest even won a raffle ticket which enabled them to a glass of champagne and a live, in-house bubble bath to luxuriate in while watching the show.

The three beautifully dressed mermaids who created and produced the benefit were Kai Altair, Ali Luminescent and Dr. Debra Tillinger.
