When Kevin Adey, the Northeast Kingdom’s long-time chef, announced that with his wife Debbie, they were opening a new farm-to-table restaurant, we were all ears (and tongues). Faro has debuted in Bushwick in May and ever since has been causing some serious waves in the New York City’s foodie waters thanks to its incredibly delicious homemade pasta, sustainably-sourced local seafood and well as Animal Welfare Approved meats.

Popular food website, Eater, opened yesterday their public polls nominating five New York City restaurants for their sixth annual Eater Award for the best NYC restaurant. Along Satina, Momofuku Ko, Cosme and Wildair, also Faro was on the bill and after the public vote, Bushwick’s miraculous restaurant is currently on the second place behind Cosme, and thus has qualified itself as one of three finalist! From these three finalists (Cosme, Faro and Wildair), the Eater editorial team will select a winner.

This is really a huge success for Faro, and we truly hope to see them win in two weeks at the Eater Awards. In the meantime, make sure you go try Faro if you haven’t yet, because if they win, the waiting lines might take you all the way to Queens!
