Gov. Kathy Hochul closed her reelection campaign Monday night at Brooklyn Bowl in Williamsburg alongside Hakeem Jeffries, Letitia James and Thomas DiNapoli, while Republican Bruce Blakeman finished a statewide tour courtside at Madison Square Garden in a Knicks jersey with “Cut Taxes” on the back.
The two statewide tickets spent the race’s last day apart. Hochul stayed in New York City all day, CBS News New York reported, while Blakeman campaigned with the Republican nominees for attorney general and comptroller, Saritha Komatireddy and Joseph Hernandez, on a route from a diner in Bethpage to Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, Binghamton and Manhattan, according to the New York Post.
