Bushwick High School is running Swim Strong Foundation classes every Monday through the end of August, according to Brooklyn Community Board 4’s July 2026 newsletter.
The classes are at Bushwick High School, 400 Irving Avenue, and run Mondays from July 13 through August 31. Classes cover all levels, from beginners who have never gotten their face wet to experienced swimmers looking to sharpen their strokes.
Per the newsletter, the youngest group starts first. “Get Ready Get Wet” for kids ages 6 to 16 runs from 5 to 5:30 p.m., and the adult version, for anyone 17 and up, goes from 5:30 to 6 p.m. “Learn to Swim” runs 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., and “Competitive & Stroke Enhancement” runs the longest, 5:30 to 7 p.m.
Swim Strong Foundation runs the program. Registration is at swimstrongfoundation.org; each class has its own sign-up page.
The listing ran alongside the community board’s usual summer housekeeping. CB4 is on recess through July and August, with its next public hearing and regular meeting set for Wednesday, September 16 at 6 p.m., per the newsletter.
