Rooftop Films is bringing its “Love Is Strange: Romance Shorts 2026” short film program to Industry City’s Courtyard 5/6 in Brooklyn on Friday, August 7, according to a promotional email from the nonprofit organization sent July 1.

The program gathers short films “tracing the surprising, imperfect ways people fall in (and out of) love—or almost do,” according to the email. Tickets are $22. Rooftop members can buy at a discounted rate.

Specific film titles have not been announced.

The venue hosts two other Rooftop Films programs this summer, according to the email: “URL IRL: Internet Shorts 2026” on July 24 and “Trapped: Mind-Altering Shorts 2026” on August 28. Other stops in the 2026 summer series include Green-Wood Cemetery and The Old American Factory.

Rooftop Films is a Brooklyn-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit currently marking its 30th year. The organization describes itself in the email as “a beacon for emerging artists, a champion of creative cinema presentation, and a pillar of New York City’s cultural landscape.”
