Public Advocate Jumaane Williams is scheduled to speak Thursday, February 26, at a hearing of the New York City Council’s Committee on Civil and Human Rights, according to a public schedule released by his office.

The Office of the Public Advocate said Williams will speak at the hearing at 10 a.m. in the eighth-floor hearing room at 250 Broadway in Lower Manhattan. The advisory, issued for planning purposes, did not detail the subject of his remarks or the specific legislation or matters before the committee.

The appearance is one of several Williams has on his calendar this week. The same office said that on Friday, February 27, Williams is slated to appear at 1:30 p.m. before the Council’s Committee on Economic Development about the city’s preparations for the FIFA World Cup, in the same eighth-floor hearing room at 250 Broadway.

Later that day, according to the schedule, Williams will join state Sen. Robert Jackson‘s Dominican Independence Day celebration at 4 p.m. at the Armory Foundation’s Millrose Boardroom, 216 Fort Washington Ave. in Washington Heights, and will give remarks at 7 p.m. at Assembly Member Khaleel Anderson‘s State of the District address at 420 Beach 51st St. in Far Rockaway, Queens.

Williams’ office directed inquiries to its press contact and did not provide further detail on his planned remarks at any of the events.
