New York City Public Advocate Jumaane Williams plans a weekend of Black History Month appearances across Queens and Brooklyn on February 7 and 8, his office said in a public schedule released February 7.
On Saturday, February 7, Williams is scheduled to speak at 1:15 p.m. at Council Member Nantasha Williams’ State of the District Address and Black History Month Celebration, held at 111-54 Merrick Blvd. in Jamaica, Queens, according to the advisory from the Office of the Public Advocate.
The office said Williams’ Sunday, February 8, schedule opens with a pre-taped interview on NY1’s “In Focus with Cheryl Wills,” set to air on the cable channel beginning around 10:30 a.m. The office noted the interview was recorded in advance and that the listed time is approximate.
At 1 p.m. Sunday, Williams is slated to speak at Love Fellowship Tabernacle‘s Black History Month Service at 464 Liberty Ave. in Brooklyn, the schedule said. He is then expected to give remarks at 3 p.m. at the inauguration of Queens Borough President Donovan Richards, to be held at the Goldstein Theatre at Queens College, 65-30 Kissena Blvd. in Flushing, according to the office.
The Office of the Public Advocate said the schedule was distributed for planning purposes.
