Mayor Zohran Mamdani planned to visit a Staten Island emergency medical service station on Saturday, February 7, 2026, to thank firefighters and EMS workers for keeping New Yorkers safe during a recent cold snap, according to the mayor’s public schedule released by the Mayor’s Press Office.

The press office said Mamdani was scheduled to greet the firefighters and EMS workers at 11:30 a.m. at the Staten Island EMS station. Footage of the visit would be pooled by NY1 and distributed afterward, the office said.

The first responders’ visit was one of three appearances on the mayor’s Saturday schedule. In an updated advisory issued February 7, the press office added that Mamdani would deliver remarks at the Brooklyn Museum at 5:30 p.m., an event it said was closed to the press.

At 9 p.m., the mayor was scheduled to attend the Yemeni American Merchants Association Gala, which the press office also listed as closed press. The office said photos from the day’s events would be made available on the Mayor’s Office Flickr account.

The schedule did not specify which Staten Island EMS station Mamdani planned to visit, the duration of the cold snap referenced, or the topic of his Brooklyn Museum remarks.
