New York’s Opioid Settlement Fund Advisory Board convened in Midtown Manhattan to develop recommendations on how the state should allocate money it has received through legal settlements with opioid manufacturers and distributors, according to a media advisory from the New York State Office of Addiction Services and Supports. The OASAS meeting archive lists the session for Feb. 25, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with sites in Albany, New York City, Rochester and online.

The board met at 9 a.m. at 501 Seventh Avenue, in New York, the office said in the advisory; the agency lists that address as its New York Regional Office. The agency, known as OASAS, said the panel’s role is to provide recommendations on how funding flowing into the Opioid Settlement Fund could be distributed.

OASAS said the board’s recommendations are intended to guide where the settlement dollars go, money the agency has tied to opioid treatment, prevention and related programs across New York State. The state directs settlement proceeds toward addiction services through the dedicated fund, according to the office.

The advisory board operates within OASAS, the state addiction-services agency led by Commissioner Chinazo Cunningham under Gov. Kathy Hochul’s administration. The agency did not, in the advisory, detail specific spending proposals scheduled for the meeting.

Further information about the board, its membership and its work is available through the office at https://oasas.ny.gov/opioid-settlement-fund-advisory-board.
