Mayor Zohran Mamdani planned to hold a press conference at City Hall on Thursday, February 12, to make an announcement, according to the public schedule released by the Mayor’s Press Office. The advisory did not specify the subject of the announcement.
The press conference was set for 11:30 a.m. in the Blue Room at City Hall, the office said. The event was listed as open press, though the office said TV cameras would not be permitted in the room because of space limitations. The Mayor was scheduled to take questions, and the office said the event would be streamed live on the city’s website and carried on Encompass Port CTY-3653.
Following the press conference, the Mayor was scheduled to meet with community partners in the crisis management system at 2 p.m., an event the office listed as closed press.
At approximately 6 p.m., the Mayor was set to visit Emmanuel Baptist Church at 279 Lafayette Ave., at St. James Place, in Brooklyn, alongside Attorney General Letitia James, according to the schedule. The Mayor was expected to deliver remarks at the church, and the office said TV cameras would not be permitted on-site, again citing space limitations.
The Mayor’s Press Office said photos from the day’s events would be made available through the mayor’s office Flickr account.
