Fast Fact: Bushwick Vaccination Rates Continue to Rise

Since we last checked on September 24, the percentage of individuals living in and around Bushwick who have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 has risen to nearly 57 percent, while 64 percent have received at least one dose, according to city data. Those are increases of just under four percent and 3 percent, respectively, over the past three weeks. 

Currently, 172,775 of the 305,180 residents living in area codes 11237, 11221, 11207 and 11206 are fully vaccinated against COVID-19, while 195,648 have received at least one dose. 

Compared to the rest of New York City’s neighborhoods’ vaccination rates,  Bushwick and its surrounding neighborhoods sit somewhere between the middle and the bottom of the pack. Citywide, 72 percent of eligible New Yorkers have received at least one dose.

Since the start of the pandemic, roughly 1 in 8 (38,150) individuals living in area codes 11237, 11221, 11207 and 11206 have been diagnosed with COVID-19, while roughly 1 in 260 (1,173) have died from the disease, according to the city.
