Last weekend, Curtis Valentine, 32, died after he sustained a head injury outside of a gallery on Bushwick Avenue. He was attending a show at Head Too Heavy Gallery, a one night only tribute to two artists, BAK and ZNO.

The NYPD confirms that Valentine was assaulted outside of 383 Bushwick Ave., the address of the gallery. His roommate found him dead at home on the evening of August 20 at around 10 p.m.

The gallery owners are asking any attendees to come forward with information they might have about what happened outside that night, and are referring anyone with information to Detective John Bartek at the 83rd Precinct.

There is a memorial scheduled for Valentine on Sunday at Superchief Gallery on Jefferson Avenue.
