What does that word make you think of? Movement? Movie sets? Sex? Guest photographer Gino Fortebuono set out to capture “Action” on the streets of Bushwick for his Insta-Takeover last week. We’re happy (or are we sorry?) to say there was no sex, but there were plenty of powerful photos.
Gino is a Production Designer who lives in Bushwick and enjoys, and I quote, “tacos, pizza, cats+dogs, friends, neighbors, cheap beer and fancy cocktails.” Great taste, Gino. He set out to conceptualize just one word, and he sure did that word justice. Gino caught movement of all sorts in the neighborhood – bicyclists mid-air, the J flying by, skateboarders doing fancy tricks, and pigeons soaring. Plus, one requisite adorable running dog shot. You’d think Bushwick somehow knew that Gino was watching, except that its residents can vouch for the fact that this neighborhood is movin’ 24/7. Check out some of Gino’s most popular shots below, and head over to our Instagram to see the rest of his pics!
This week’s Insta-Takeover: Guest photographer Pavel Ezrohi looks “Behind the Counter” for a portrait series of local Bushwickians! Stay tuned!
