Red Bull Streets and Avenues still

Brooklyn is full of various social niches that gravitate around artistic interests, and many of them tend to overlap. The BMX, cycling, and skating communities have always been widely present in our neighborhood, and Bushwick specifically, due to the largely industrial landscape, abandoned areas, and the fact that landlords often don’t give enough of a damn to fix their ledges or handrails or call out the kids who are beating them down with their bikes and boards. Tight communities form within this art, and Red Bull recently began releasing a new series, Streets & Avenues, which chronicles local bike and skate enthusiasts, who often double as photographers and videographers, through their creative lives and rides.
