Scenes from the Fourth Annual Color Me Bushwick

Music, tattoos, and hair art came together to create a unique atmosphere for neighborhood art aficionados.

Kevin Hoopes

This past weekend, local salon Pickthorn hosted a slew of bands while patrons got haircuts and tattoos up front as part of Color Me Bushwick. The hybrid music and art fest has brought great music for four years now, and even though it just ended on Sunday night, we're already itching to get back in there next year.

If you somehow missed it, or got too caught up at the Bushwick Collective block party to leave, check out our photos from the fest below.

Local three-piece, A Deer A Horse, getting into it. They wasted no time diving deep into their tunes.

Wavering between the hypnotic and the heavy, guitarist Rebecca Satellite reaches out.

The mercurial Fiona Silver dances on stage.

Fiona and her bandmates vibing out. Check that Firebird!

From dancing on stage to sliding on the floor, Fiona is a performer through and through.

Post punk scuzz-nauts Monograms begin their sonic assault.

Ian of Monograms becomes one with the crowd as he feeds his vocals through a distortion and delay pedal.

Sweat drips onto Ian’s Rickenbacker as their pummeling set shreds on.

The crowd gets their polaroid taken to commemorate the occasion.
