Are you hungry, Bushwick?

East Williamsburg’s Grand Street Business Improvement District, which advocates for the storefronts along Grand Street between Union Avenue and Bushwick Avenue, is currently overseeing its annual Restaurant Week, inviting the public to come enjoy pre fixe meals at a range of price points at a dozen area eateries.

Featuring meal options that start at $9 for a lunch special at Mexican restaurant Haab and going up to $30 for the dinner options at French bistro Le Barricou, Seafood joint Desy’s Clam Bar and Russian “reestaran” Masha and the Bear, the event is organized to present diners with an opportunity to explore neighborhood offerings they might have previously overlooked during a month that is sometimes slow for city restaurants.

Other participating restaurants include taqueria Los Tacos Bar-McOndo, Japanese spot Ryujin Ramen, Forcella pizzeria, American casual spot The Starlight, the “globally inspired” Sandwich Shop, 24-hour Mexican-American diner Grand Morelos, and pan-Indian sit down restaurant Indian Kitchen.

In addition to the special pricing, diners can enter to win a gift certificate to their favorite Grand Street restaurant by sharing photos of their Restaurant Week meal on Instagram with the hashtag #DineOnGrand (winners will be announced on Thursday, August 18th).

Restaurant Week kicked off on Monday the 8th and runs through Sunday, August 14th, so make some dinner plans now!

This reporter’s recommendation? Get the guacamole, the mole poblano and the flan from the pre fixe dinner menu at Grand Morelos—the kitchen there never disappoints.

Bon Appetit!
