A second meeting about the North Brooklyn Industry and Innovation Plan will be held by the NYC Department of City Planning in East Williamsburg at the St. Francis Auditorium on Thursday June 16th from 6-8pm. There will be a short presentation about the plan at 6:30pm with the remainder of the time presumably set aside for questions.

The previous meeting helped the department learn about why businesses choose North Brooklyn and what struggles business owners in these neighborhoods face. North Brooklyn has developed very rapidly in the past decade, and work needs to be done to ensure longtime business owners and residents can also benefit from the business boom.

At this meeting, City Planning hopes to present a draft of their vision for the future aiming to “improve quality of life for workers, residents, and other community members.”

The future of North Brooklyn is in the hands of the residents, business owners, and workers who attend meetings like these.

Also, there will be free food and drinks.

That’s Thursday, June 16th, from 6pm to 8pm at 200 Woodbine Road. We’ll see you there.
