The Grand Soirée 

What is it?

Party with all the DJs at the Grand Soirée to celebrate the birthday of Bushwick Grand’s founder Josh, who also goes by the name of “Bushwick Josh.” He’s celebrating it in Williamsburg, however.

Baby’s All Right, 146 Broadway.

10 p.m. to 4 a.m.

A Real Wet Cash Stand-up Show

What is it?

Attend a weekly comedy shows run by Wet Cash NYC which features not only some of the hottest rising stand up comedians in the city, but also free beer. One lucky audience member will also be given real, wet cash during the show. Donations will also be collected for a group called the Bushwick Emergency Relief Fund, an organization that fills food pantries and organizes clothing and voting drives.

A Two Monsters Pet Shop Pop-Up

What is it?

Join Two Monsters Pet Shop and Mezza’s Munchies and buy up some healthy treats for your furry friend.

Two Monsters Pet Shop, 792 Onderdonk Ave. 

When is it?

1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

How much is it?

Entrance to the pop-up is free.

A Free Self-Defense Workshop

What is it?

Take a self- defense class at the Mayday Space that’s being run by Pop Gym, a non profit looking to bring as give out as much free martial arts programming to the city as possible. The basics will be covered, which include stretching, conditioning, technique and theory. Individuals of all skill levels are encouraged and welcome to participate.

2 p.m.

Free.

Purim 2022!

What is it?

Purim is a festive Jewish holiday that celebrates the story of Esther and the saving of the Jewish people from Haman and it’s being celebrated in Ridgewood by a group called Sparkle Punk, While there are different depths and variations of holiday observance out there, the main festivities generally include feasting, the telling of the purimstory/miracle, some masquerade, along with gifting and charity. Swing by for a night of celebration, performances, costumes, drag, comedy, burlesque, Hamentashen and more. A portion of proceeds will also benefit City Harvest

When is it?

7 p.m. 

How much is it?

Tickets are $15 in advance; $20 at the door. 

Sunday Skate Sesh @ Vans 

What is it?

All skill levels are welcome at this skate sesh, hosted by by a group called Sk8babes. If new to skating, pull up to the beginners skate clinic that’s 7 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Raffles, photo booth, vendors, free beverages and more.

Vans Skate Space 198, 198 Randolph Street.

When is it?

7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

How much is it?

Free.
