It’s time for our weekly events round-up!

This week, there’s a community clean-up happening at the Echo Bravo Bar, there’s laughs to be had at with the Wet Cash comedy group for a good cause, a night of gothy performances at the five year anniversary party of SVMMON at Talon Bar, a spooky dinner party for Friday the 13th at Flying Fox Tavern, some new ink at Armageddon Ink Gallery, support to give for the ongoing efforts in Ukraine at Woodbine, and things to buy at a vintage vendor market at TV Eye and even more.

Echo Bravo Wardrobe Raid Clothing Drive 

What is it?

Drop off new or gently worn clothing for any age and size to help clothe our communities. Items must be dropped off in a bag and there is a four bag limit per person. Receive 10% off food and drinks upon donating.

Echo Bravo Bar, 445 Troutman St. 

When is it?

11 a.m. to 8 p.m. from May 9 to May 15

By donation.

Wet Cash Stand-Up Show

What is it?

Join the Wet Cash comedy crew for a stand up performance in benefit of Mayday Space, a community center that empowers people and organizes events for the Bushwick neighborhood. 

Where is it?

Stars Cafe, 247 Wilson Ave. 

When is it?

7:30 p.m.

How much is it?

Free.

4-Course Prix Fixe Menu Friday the 13th Dinner Party

What is it?

In celebration of Friday the 13th, chow down at the classic horror-themed tavern, Flying Fox, for a four course prix fixe dinner with vegan and non-vegan options. The first course features pickled deviled eggs or spicy roasted brussel sprouts, course two consists of beet soup consommé, the third course provides the choice of blackened catfish or blackened cauliflower with black eyed peas and collards and for dessert the final course will be a strawberry-rhubarb crumble. SVMMON Five Year Anniversary Party 

What is it?

Enjoy performances at New York City’s premier dark dance party by DJs Mistress McCutchan, Khadija, Joe Hart, Jeffo! and Jamie K along with a performance by God Complex.

Friday the 13th Tattoo Flash Event 

What is it?

Get in line for a Friday the 13th tradition of getting inked with cheap, fun, flash tattoos. This is a first come, first serve, walk-in only event.

When is it?

10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

How much is it?

Tattoos start at $20.

Dinner for Ukraine 

What is it?

Join the daughters of Ukrainian immigrants for dinner and watch silent films, “In Spring,” and “Earth” to support Spilka, an independent collective raising and distributing funds to individuals in urgent need and to volunteers assisting on the ground. For dinner, enjoy borscht, varenyky, a sweet treat and beer.

Suggested donation is $7 per dish.

What is it?

Inking Techniques Workshop with Eva Redamonti

What is it?

Join artist, Eva Redamonti, with JUICEBOX, a collective of artists and designers that provide in person classes at Brooklyn’s finest bars. The workshop will teach various techniques of using ink on paper, specifically how to ink various textures and materials, such as metal, fur, hair, and skin along with other elements found in real life. Some of the examples of artists using pen and ink that will be reviewed are Yuko Shimizu, Alphonzo Dunn, Ed Fairburn and more. Materials will be supplied.
