A theater troupe in Bushwick is performing another sexy twist on a classic childhood tale.
“Cinderella” is a titillating new spectacle by Company XIV, which recently presented an acclaimed production of Nutcracker Rouge at its permanent space, Theater XIV, at 383 Troutman St. off the Jefferson Street stop on the L train.
Directed and choreographed by Austin McCormick, “Cinderella” is described as a “spectacular theatrical event” based on Charles Perrault’s fairy tale from 1697. The performance features XIV’s blend of circus, burlesque, vaudeville, sumptuous costumes — and lots of skin showing.
“Cinderella” opened on Monday and will run for 13 weeks. Theater XIV offers a menu of cocktails, beer and wine, and appetizers. Tickets cost between $65-300 depending on the seating. You can buy them here.
