If you’re as excited about free food and cheap drinks as we are, you should definitely RSVP to Our Wicked Lady’s Absinthe Party on July 22 where the tacos will be plentiful and the absinthe will flow easy.

The 10 hour party starts at 4 p.m. and will feature performances by over 10 musical acts and a giveaway of headphones and cartridges handmade by Grado Labs here in Brooklyn. Absinthe cocktails crafted with Doc Herson’s absinthe will set you back only $6 all afternoon and night. 

All you have to do to get in for free and qualify for the giveaway is RSVP ahead of time.

The music will be brought to you by Brooklyn collective .WAVCAVE. Meagan Rodriguez, the collective’s co-founder says, “This is definitely the most eclectic event in our .WAVCAVE party series, so curating the lineup was less about finding the highest energy acts, and more about creating a narrative through placement of each act.”

Rodriguez adds, “The EP, Absinthe Party, was an ode to my experience discovering underground music in NYC. The acts I chose for this event represent the many facets of NYC underground music that make the scene magical. People attending this event will find themselves ebbing and flowing between punk, jazz, downtempo house, R[&]B and Hip-Hop while surrounded by other local music (and taco) enthusiasts.”

So, in other words, come for the free food and cheap booze, stay for the tunes and dance through the afternoon and into the night. Sounds like the perfect summer Saturday to us.
