Buy Artwork, Support Lambda Legal, Oppose the Incoming Administration

This Friday at 7 p.m. come to Bat Haus for a special fundraiser supporting Lambda Legal, an organization working to defend the civil liberties of LGBT+ people and those with HIV, work which will be very important considering the kind of people who are already running the show down in Washington D.C.

Taking inspiration from badass public intellectual Rebecca Solnit, the organizers of this art show titled their event “Joy Sneaks In,” nodding to Solnit’s conviction that joy in and of itself can be an “act of insurrection.”

And what’s more joyful than a party with free beer, raffle prizes, and affordable limited edition silkscreen prints?

Organizers Courtney Menard, Kjersti Ferat, and Colleen Tighe recruited a huge cast of local artists who will all be selling limited edition prints for $15 a pop with all proceeds going to Lambda Legal.

Raffle prizes include gift certificates to Champs, Little Skips merchandise, Kings County booze, and much more!
