6 Spots in Bushwick to Celebrate the Super Bowl (Even If You’re Just Not That Into It)

Super Bowl Sunday is one of the biggest party days of the year, and Bushwick has you covered for awesome ways to spend it.

6 Spots in Bushwick to Celebrate the Super Bowl (Even If You’re Just Not That Into It)

The World Series of Football. The Puppy Bowl Post-Game Show. Eagles vs. Patriots, Men in Tights. Waiting for Halftime.

Whatever you call it, the superest of bowls is here. The Super Bowl is a day for gathering with friends and family, eating pizza and wings, drinking beer, and watching men in tight clothing run into each other over and over again.

Super Bowl LII is this Sunday and, if you’re not attending a party or hosting one of your own, you may be looking for something to do. Well, Bushwick’s got you covered!

The Super Bowl isn’t a national holiday — yet — which means that bars and restaurants across the neighborhood will be open for business as usual. That’s your low-key option. If you’re looking for revelry, you’ve got some options.

House of Yes, Bushwick’s favorite DIY venue for all things quirky and avant-garde, will be hosting its third annual Totally Immersive Superb Owl Experience this Sunday.

The $20 admission gets you classics like wings and mozzarella sticks, beer buckets, and drinks specials, as well as a pandemonium of performances, improvisations, and impersonations.

Salud Bar and Grill, 1413 Bushwick Ave.

Salud recently won Best of Bushwick 2018: Chicken Wings, and those very wings will be on display this weekend at their annual Half Time Wing Eating Contest.

The contest isn’t the only festivity. A $50 cover gets you unlimited beer (12 craft brews on tap, and more bottled and canned), unlimited house wine, and unlimited sangria, and unlimited appetizers — including their spectacular wings — from kickoff to whenever the game ends.

Over in East Williamsburg, you’ll find Super Bowl celebrations at The Well. This year’s no-cover party at The Well includes a special selection of beers (from their 200+ collection) that qualify for their BOGO happy hour special, which naturally will be extended for the entirety of the game.

They’re also offering free nachos and wings for every beer purchase, and $1 nachos and wings for the non-drinkers among us. They’re expecting a crowd, so show up early if your seating situation is a high priority for you.

King’s County Brewers Collective is opening their taproom to football fans this Sunday for their Super Nacho Bowl Party. On offer are, obviously, KCBC brews and, obviously, nachos provided by Williamsburg’s El Jefe’s Nachoria.

Also on tap at KCBC for Super Bowl LII is a score bracket, so there’s a chance you’ll walk out richer than you walked in.

Watch the big game on Syndicated’s movie theater screens and munch on game day specialties throughout the evening. $52 admission buys an open bar with beer, wine, and well drinks from 6-10 p.m. Bar and theater seating are general admission and on a first-come, first-served basis. Groups should arrive early because Syndicated can’t guarantee seating together unless you have purchased a booth package ($325 for five people, reserved seating, and open bar).

If football just ain’t your thing, but you still want to get out and party this Sunday, then Bizarre is the place for you.

Though festivities here technically end before the Big Game begins, Bizarre will be hosting their popular Drag Brunch as usual. Brunch here comes complete with drag shows at 1 and 3 p.m.

While we here at Bushwick Daily can help you figure out where to spend your Super Bowl Sunday, we unfortunately can’t tell you who to root for in the absence of our NY teams.

That choice remains yours, though generally you can find us rooting for whoever can balance the score boxes to our favor.
