Are you a stout man? Or perhaps you prefer a crisp IPA? Whatever your beer preferences may be, you can whet your appetite at a new beer hall opening at 52 Harrison Place in East Williamsburg. Lantern Hall, slated to open on December 5th, is bringing fine craft beer back to the neighborhood with 14 taps plus can and bottle selections.

According to Eater, owner Jeff Wong - who grew up in Flushing, Queens - wanted to open a neighborhood spot where his family used to work. A former investment banker, Wong is joined by Brit Will Sperling, who will manage the bar, and Philip Immekus on grub duty. Sperling was formerly a manager at Craft Beer Co. in London and came to the U.S. to work at Gramercy Tavern and The Clocktower. Immekus, having worked in New Orleans, will take a Southern approach to the bar menu.

You can expect menu items like fried chicken sandwiches and homemade tater tots, with all bread supplied from Williamsburg's Northside Bakery. Judging from the interior shots, Lantern Hall will combine the pleasures of a traditional German beer hall (long communal tables) and Bushwick charm (exposed brick, reclaimed wood). We think we'll be spending many cold winter nights here.
